Creating an exceptional customer experience is what Dan's vision was all about in 1997 when he left a successful 15 year career in sales and customer service to pursue a career in real estate. Inspired by his own experiences when purchasing properties, Dan realized throughout several of his transactions what was lacking was exceptional customer service. Home is where memories are made, and those memories begin with the transaction. Dan knew that he could deliver a better customer service experience that would benefit the consumer and create a positive memory. In real estate, it shouldn’t be just another transaction, but also a satisfying experience where the customer feels welcome, enjoys the transaction, and wants to continue doing business with that person and company and refer them to their friends and associates.

Providing a level of care and attention to detail that was unparalleled, Dan's real estate career immediately took off and he personally helped hundreds of people buy and sell real estate throughout the Northern and Central Virginia area.  After developing an extensive client base of repeat customers who were referring friends and family, Dan knew the time was right to form a whole team of like-minded, conscientious and dedicated entrepreneurs, with a commitment to excellence.   Dan created the Get Sold Team, which eventually became Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Realty.
